📱 What Does “eSIM Compatible” Mean?

Not all phones or tablets support eSIM technology. To use ChoiceCloud eSIM, your device must be carrier-unlocked and have built-in eSIM functionality.

âś… Apple Devices (Global Support)

Most modern Apple devices already support eSIM.

  • iPhone: iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, and newer (including iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 series)

  • iPad : iPad Pro (3rd gen+), iPad Air (3rd gen+), iPad (7th gen+), iPad mini (5th gen+)

ℹ️ Note: Some U.S. models of iPhone 14 and 15 are eSIM-only (no physical SIM slot).

âś… Samsung Devices

Many Samsung flagships and newer models support eSIM.

  • Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra (and newer S21, S22, S23, S24 series)

  • Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra

  • Galaxy Z Flip & Z Fold series (Flip 3+, Fold 2+)

âś…Google Pixel Devices

eSIM support is available starting from Pixel 3 and newer.

  • Pixel 3, 3a, 4, 4a, 5, 5a

  • Pixel 6, 6a, 7, 7a, 8, 8 Pro

  • Pixel Fold

âś…Huawei Devices (Limited Regions)

Some Huawei models support eSIM but availability depends on region/carrier.

  • Huawei P40, P40 Pro

  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro

⚠️ Other Brands
  • Oppo, Motorola, Xiaomi, Honor: Some newer models support eSIM, but availability varies by country. Always check in device settings:

Settings → Mobile Network → Add eSIM / Mobile Plan

📲 How to Check if Your Device Supports eSIM

You can confirm whether your phone supports eSIM in two ways:

âś… Method 1: Through Settings
  • iPhone/iPad → Go to Settings > General > About. Look for Digital SIM / eSIM IMEI / EID.

  • Android (Samsung, Pixel, etc.) → Go to Settings > Connections (or Network & Internet) > SIM Manager / Mobile Network. Look for Add Mobile Plan / Add eSIM.

âś… Method 2: Using the Dial Code
  1. Open your phone’s dialer.

  2. Dial *#06#.

  3. A screen will appear showing your device details.

    • If you see an EID number, your device supports eSIM.

    • If no EID is shown, your device does not support eSIM.

🔑 Key Notes
  • Your device must be carrier unlocked. Locked devices may not allow eSIM activation.

  • eSIM availability can differ by region even on the same model.

  • Always confirm compatibility before purchasing a ChoiceCloud eSIM plan.
